Students from the Psychology program began their first simulation. They were presented with an assignment to simulate a clinic for mental health patients (TA’s). They asked the patients several questions and took notes to find the best diagnosis for each patient. The students took their time to listen and be patient with their responses after the patients spoke and made them feel heard. The groups took on the role of therapists to address clients’ challenges. Through this clinic simulation, the students were able to look into the collaborative nature of mental health care and developed a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals seeking support.
