In the Medical & Healthcare program the students had a heavy experience participating in an EMT skill simulation outdoors. The simulation focused on trauma scenarios where the students portrayed emergency medical technicians responding to critical incidents and the TA’s were the patients. They practiced essential skills such as assessing the scene, providing immediate care, and stabilizing patients with injuries. The outdoor setting added realism to the scenarios with fake ambulance sirens simulating the urgency of real-life emergencies. The students worked as a team, using their best decision-making abilities and learning to remain composed under pressure. This hands-on simulation provided them with exposure to the world of emergency medicine and inspired their passion for pursuing careers in healthcare and saving lives.
