The students in Nursing and Medicine & Health Care jumped ship into their diagnostic simulations. They were split into groups and had to see patients (TAs) in different rooms as they try to find a diagnosis before the session ends. The main reason for this simulation is to reenact a real life scenario where if the students were real doctors caring for a patient who struggles with their health. They learned how to approach and de-escalate challenging situations and gained insights into providing appropriate care and support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The simulation was to help the students into deeper understanding of the complexities of mental health care and to provide compassionate and effective care to patients with diverse mental health needs.
