The students in Medicine & Health Care learned about geatrics and mobility in elderly people. They participated in simulations such as using a walker with cataract glasses and weights on them to weigh them down as they try to walk, learning how to lift up a person with a medical belt, and using balloons to mimic human heads to shave facial hairs to depict how it would be with an actual human being. Every one of these activities helped the students get a closer look into healthcare in terms of nursing homes and elderly patients overall while looking for the best ways to help their lives for the better!
