Students in the Medicine and Healthcare and Animal Science tracks of the Middle School program learned about suturing and injections on Wednesday. Using a chicken breast, pairs repaired a cut using stitches. Then, they injected the chicken breast with blue liquid to learn about subcutaneous injections, as well as other forms of injections. This was also an opportunity for students to learn about vaccines and proper cleanup procedure for sharps.
