In the Animal Sciences track of the Middle School program, students built water filters from every-day materials. They used beads, styrofoam cups, coffee filters, rocks, and more to attempt to be the group to filter the most pollution out of their water source. Filters were tested by pouring dirty water filled with sediment through the filters twice, once to wet the filter and another to actually clean the water.
