In the HEAL & Nursing program, students were divided into different groups to engage in hands-on activities related to anatomy and healthcare practices. One group sutured a pig’s foot, assisted by Dr. Dan, exploring the structures of the foot and how to properly close a wound. Another group dissected a sheep’s heart, gaining insights into its chambers, valves, and blood vessels. Additionally, a group focused on practicing incubation techniques by utilizing prop lungs, simulating the process of providing assisted ventilation to patients. Through these activities the students developed essential skills in observation, dissection, and medical intervention which helps build a solid foundation for their future healthcare endeavors!
