Students get a chance to listen to leadership facilitator Vital Akimana as part of the NSLC’s Medicine Intensive program. Akimana shares insightful advice on effective listening and communication techniques with the students. Students are taught the value of empathy, good communication, and active listening in the medical industry under the direction of Akimana. They leave this program with the necessary skills to establish rapport with patients, work cooperatively with healthcare teams, and deliver compassionate care.
