Students in the Medicine & Health Care program brought the action with their skills in mobility. This lesson was to teach the students what it is like to care for an elderly person. The simulation consisted of using a walker while carrying weight, shaving a balloon with shaving cream and a razor without it popping, and using a tool to lift a patient. These simulations were essential to provide students with a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by elderly people in their daily lives. The students felt the possible challenges firsthand with hopes to pursue careers in healthcare with compassion.
