In both the Heal & Nursing program, students collaborated in groups to explore various healthcare disciplines. One group focused on laparoscopy learning about minimally invasive surgical techniques and practicing their skills using simulation models. Another group simulated an emergency care situation by mastering the application of C-Collars & Backboards to immobilize and transport patients with suspected spinal injuries. A third group immersed themselves in sports medicine, studying injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and providing care during athletic events. Additionally, students learned how to measure and interpret vital signs and gaining essential skills for monitoring patient health. Through these hands-on experiences the students developed a comprehensive understanding of different healthcare specialties and practical skills that would serve them well in their future healthcare careers.
