This morning, the Film Production & Scriptwriting program continued work on their biggest project of the session! Through a series of lectures and guided work periods, small groups of students are collaborating to write, film, and edit a 5-minute film that will be shown at their end-of-session film festival. Today, they focused on editing their footage. With help from American University film professors Ned MacFadden and Chris Prosser as well as their TAs, students learned the fundamentals of color grading, timing, and general editing skills using professional Adobe Premiere software. They will finish their films tomorrow morning, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
