Last night, students in the Journalism program had an exciting adventure simulating a news station. The student portrayed as reporters, editors, and journalist. They were given three scenarios throughout the night which gave intel on the different situation’s real newsrooms go through. One situation was of a “troubled mother” then a celebrity couple breaking up and a live press conference with an interruption from a conspiracy theorist. These scenarios helped the students get a closer look into the world of Journalism and the potential journey it could take bring them on.
