As the summer program draws to a close, Journalism students found themselves with a mix of emotions. This session was led by the Leading Facilitator, Vital Akimana whom helped the students reflect on their experiences and who they are in society. They felt a deep sense of attachment to their peers, mentors, and the program itself. The departure created a bittersweet feeling, with the students cherishing the memories and growth they had achieved together. They even had solo moments with one another to show how much their peers have made an impact in their lives. With gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose, most of them pledged to carry forward the lessons learned, new friendships, and dreams to pursue a working future with the NSLC.
