Preparing for their future, the journalism students participated in professional development activities. They were assisted by their TA’s to help with relevant skills, experiences, and education. Additionally, they dedicated time to creating cover letters tailored to specific job opportunities and unique perspectives. The students also focused on building polished LinkedIn portfolios, and optimizing their profiles to attract potential employers and industry professionals. Moreover, they learned how to effectively search for and apply to internships, learning strategies to identify suitable opportunities and present themselves as qualified candidates. With these tools and knowledge, the journalism students were well-guided on their professional journeys.
