Yesterday, students in the Forensic Science program heard from guest speaker Dr. Kristiza Giese, a Deputy Medical Examiner at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in D.C. Dr. Giese shared her profound knowledge of forensic science by showing different cases, autopsies, and numerical statistics on deaths in America. As she delved into the intricacies of her work at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in D.C., the students gained knowledge of the role of medical examiners in uncovering the truth behind mysterious deaths. Dr. Giese’s detailed explanations created a vivid picture of the challenges and rewards of forensic investigation.
