Journalism students had the opportunity to meet guest speaker Alivia Roberts, Biden Administration Political Appointee at the U.S. Department of Justice and winner of Miss District of Columbia 2022. The students gathered in the McDowell Formal Lounge to hear Ms. Roberts share her remarkable personal journey and service within the political community. The students got to engage in conversation with Ms. Roberts during the presentation and had many questions! Roberts ended her presentation by encouraging the students to embrace their own unique paths, dream big, and make a difference in the world.
