Today the students immersed themselves in creating captivating digital artworks, headshots, and the art of concentration. Their skills in graphic design and digital manipulation were put to the test as they unleashed their creative visions onto the virtual canvas! The activity also asked them to engage in a unique self-awareness game that became a competition. With heads bowed in deep concentration, they would suddenly lift their gazes to meet the eyes of their chosen target, attempting to evoke a reaction. The intense and thrilling game of eye contact became their way of eliminating participants, as each subsequent artist sought to break the focus of their peers and claim victory! The game was followed by a quick drawing assignment where they had to concentrate on each others face to try and draw on paper. To round out the session, students got their professional headshots taken by TA Elliot and discovered the intricate interplay between artistic expression and professionalism.
