This morning, the Medicine Intensive students listened to an eye-opening talk by renowned pediatrician Dr. Nicole Lang. Dr. Lang spoke to the students about her own journey through the medical system, including medical school, residency, pediatric specialization, and time spent in Gambia and with the Crow Native American tribe as well as offering advice for the next generation heading into their college years. She mentioned disparities within the health industry, offered tactics for students to relieve their stress like creative visualization meditation, and encouraged them to follow their passion, even if the road to get there seems difficult. She is an inspiration, and we are all thrilled to get the chance to learn from and speak with her!
