Perioperative nurses Lynnmarie Verzino and Kathy Mucci from MedStar Health and Georgetown University came to speak to NURS students about operation rooms, different care areas, and what it’s like to be a physician or nurse in perioperative services. Students got to handle different tools used in perioperative care and learned more about a career field they may not have known about before.
