The Medicine & Health Care program explored more facets of the medical field through their medical skills workshops! The students learned about laparoscopy, geriatrics, and the ins and outs of Stop the Bleed. They were able to get a hands-on experience making tourniquets and using a hemostat on a device simulating a bleeding patient, and were able to step into the shoes of an elderly patient through weighted vests and sunglasses simulating eye issues. The students also got a chance to try their hand at a simulated laparoscopic surgery.
