Earlier, engineering students fleshed out ideas for dollies and chain-reaction mechanisms. The exercise was a practice in communication as much as in practicality. Sextets mulled over their designs. They had concerns such as the budget for materials and feasibility of construction under timed conditions. The result was neat contraptions.
